Another popular app for teachers is ClassDojo. This app is geared at improving student behavior with immediate feedback for positive and negative behaviors. I actually really like this app, but it isn't super practical in the art studio. I am not sure how it would work with me having to constantly have access to the app during our studio time. I could see it working for a regular class, though. I like the interface, I think it's fun for kids. I like how you can individualize the avatars and add comments about student behavior. I would be willing to try it out with a class in art just to see how it goes.
Here is a screenshot of the class I set up in ClassDojo.
I think parents would be appreciative of having access to daily and weekly reports of their child's behavior. It's also very easy for the teacher to send an email message to individual parents as well as whole class blasts.
Another App I have purchased is the PowerTeacher app. I use Power School to record my grades. I love the app because all the students' pictures from the school are on it. I can also add assignments and record grades just like on PowerSchool. I don't usually use my iPad for recording grades, but sometimes I use it to look up students for spelling their name or attendance.

I also downloaded the TeacherKit app. I like how you can add multiple classes. I tried it out with one class of 4 students. This app allows you track behavior, attendance and even has a gradebook. I probably wouldn't use the gradebook since it's already set up in PowerSchool. I do like the reports on the Class Summary page. Easy to see how the overall class did. I did have some issues with recording notes about the behavior. I also like how you can input student/parent emails and email copies of the report every day. That could be very handy in a classroom...but maybe not so much when you have 400+ students to keep track of.
